26 scholars from our institution were selected for the global top 2% list of leading scientists (2023 edition)

On October 4, 2023, the team led by Professor John P. A. Ioannidis at Stanford University in the United States released the 6th edition of the global top 2% list of leading scientists. They selected nearly 200,000 scientists from over 7 million, representing the top 2% in various fields worldwide, covering 22 domains and 176 sub-disciplines. The list is divided into two categories: "Lifetime Scientific Impact Rankings" (1960-2022) and the "2022 Annual Scientific Impact Rankings."

A total of 26 scholars from our institution were included in the global top 2% list of leading scientists, with 8 scholars simultaneously appearing in both the "Lifetime Scientific Impact Rankings" and the "2022 Annual Scientific Impact Rankings."

Eight scholars from our institution were listed in the "Lifetime Scientific Impact Rankings": Zhang Han, Wang Yiping, Li Zhaohong, Peng Xiang, Yu Qifeng, Qu Junle, Liao Changrui, and Yan Peiguang. Compared to the previous "Lifetime Scientific Impact Rankings," the number of scholars from our institution increased by 2.

Twenty-six scholars from our institution were included in the "2022 Annual Scientific Impact Rankings," making it the institution with the highest number of scholars selected for this list in the entire school. The detailed list is as follows: Zhang Han, Wang Yiping, Wang Cong, Qu Junle, Xing Chenyang, Liang Guangxing, Zeng Yujia, Liao Changrui, Luo Jingting, Yang Zhigang, Zheng Zhuanghao, Yan Peiguang, Li Zhaohong, Peng Xiang, Chen Yuexing, Wang Ying, Qi Lu, He Jun, Liu Liwei, Liu Shen, Li Zhengyong, Yu Qifeng, Tian Jindong, Li Xuejin, Wang Jiaqi, and Ouyang Zhengbiao.

Compared to the "2021 Annual Scientific Impact Rankings," the number of scholars from our institution included increased by 6.
