At the CIOE China Optical Expo held from September 11-13, the team of Professor Wang Yiping from the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Shenzhen University, affiliated with the “Guangdong Provincial Fiber Optic Sensing Technology Guangdong-Hong Kong Joint Research Center”, showcased the latest advancements in the commercialization of smart optical fiber sensing technologies. They presented cutting-edge products such as the large-scale optical fiber grating array femtosecond laser fully automated fabrication technology, optical fiber 3D shape sensing system, structural health monitoring systems, distributed optical fiber sensing systems, and other next-generation optical fiber sensors and equipment. Their exhibit garnered widespread attention and praise at the event.
At the exhibition, Professor Wang Yiping’s team demonstrated a series of leading-edge optical fiber sensing devices, including the optical fiber 3D shape sensing system, OFDR two-dimensional temperature field distributed optical fiber sensing system, distributed optical fiber acoustic sensing system, optical fiber microphone, and optical fiber FPI high-speed demodulation system. These devices represent the forefront of optical fiber sensing technology in China. They also showcased femtosecond laser fully automated fabrication of large-scale optical fiber grating array sensors, sapphire optical fiber high-temperature sensors, underwater explosion pressure sensors, and other optical fiber sensors and core components.
