The Faculty of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering successfully held the "First Lesson on Ideological and Political Education" for the spring semester
On the afternoon of March 27th, the Faculty of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering held the "First Lesson on Ideological and Political Education" for the spring semester. Lin Bing, the secretary of the college party committee, delivered a lecture titled "Understanding New Productive Forces and Promoting the Development and Construction of the College". A total of 113 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral party branch applicants, activists, development targets, and party members attended the course.
First, Lin Bing combined with the video "Accelerating the Formation of New Productive Forces: Guangdong's Efforts to Cultivate an Innovation Ecosystem and Build Future Industrial Clusters". Through cases such as Ford Motor Company and the low-altitude economy, he helped everyone understand what new productive forces are, the core elements of developing new productive forces, and how to develop them.
Next, Lin Bing introduced the relationship between new productive forces and the development and construction of universities. Firstly, universities are important forces for developing new productive forces. Secondly, the key path for universities to develop new productive forces. Then, Lin Bing used specific numbers and cases to help students understand the development goals and tasks of the school under the "1310" deployment of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, as well as the "four major reforms" goals and excellent culture of the college. Finally, Lin Bing told the students that as university students, they should always remember their mission: first, to establish their ideals and beliefs; second, to cultivate strong skills; third, to shoulder the mission of the times and contribute their youth to the college, the school, and society.
The "First Lesson on Ideological and Political Education" by the secretary received positive feedback, with students expressing that they benefited greatly. They pledged to study professional knowledge seriously, improve their comprehensive quality, and become well-rounded university students in the new era.
Being a New Era Student with Faith - A Springtime "First Lesson on Ideological and Political Education"
At the beginning of the new semester, with the spring breeze blowing gently, the Li Garden campus is filled with vitality. On the afternoon of April 2nd, Associate Dean Liu Liwei gave a lecture to the students of Optoelectronics on the theme of "Being New Era Students with Faith," as the "First Lesson on Ideological and Political Education." A total of 81 undergraduate student union cadres, research association cadres, sophomore undergraduates, and second-year graduate students attended.
"Adapting to circumstances, advancing with the times, and innovating according to the situation." In the classroom, from "the continuity of scientific and technological thoughts" to "the wisdom of the new era," and then to "deepening comprehensive reforms in the field of education," each step emphasizes the importance of "educating people in science and technology." Additionally, through vivid and concrete explanations, some of the goals and measures of the college's "14th Five-Year Plan" are clearly elucidated, enhancing the "cohesiveness" of ideological and political education.
As students of the new era, Liu Liwei believes that it is necessary to achieve "dual cultivation of both internal and external aspects," and hopes that the students of Optoelectronics will remember the saying "There will be times when we brave the wind and waves, setting sail directly across the vast sea." Only by adhering to their beliefs can they achieve long-term success.
