To better establish a bridge for collaboration between the college and enterprises, promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation, and contribute to the cultivation of talent for technological innovation, the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering (hereinafter referred to as "the College") held a Student Innovation Capability Seminar with renowned enterprises on the morning of May 10 in Room 1421 of Zhiyuan Building. Relevant leaders from various well-known enterprises and faculty and students from the College were invited to attend.
The seminar was hosted by Zhang Min, Director of the Innovation Department of the College. The seminar began with a speech by Wen Qiao, who warmly welcomed the participating enterprises on behalf of the College. He highlighted that the seminar aims to foster synergy between the College and enterprises, further promoting the simultaneous development of technological innovation and talent cultivation, ultimately achieving the goal of comprehensive education. Following this, Zhang Min introduced the latest national policies on enterprise involvement in innovation talent cultivation, using the International University Innovation Competition as an example.
Peng Xunlu was the first to speak during the discussion session. He emphasized that the deep integration of enterprises and universities in cultivating innovative talent provides large and medium-sized enterprises with an opportunity to give back to society while fostering their ecological chains and long-term planning, resulting in a win-win scenario. He noted that Orbbec has always been eager to engage its enterprise mentors in the innovation talent cultivation process, yielding fruitful collaborations with the College and committing to long-term partnerships.
Jiang Ruiying analyzed the opportunities and benefits of college-enterprise collaboration, suggesting that while enterprises gain greater recognition, students can explore cutting-edge technologies and future trends through project participation. Liu Hao shared his insights on student innovation projects, stressing the importance of aligning topics with national policies and reflecting the latest societal and market trends. Cotec expressed its willingness to support the further development of student projects.
Other participants, including Kong Lin, Luo Youhui, Zheng Yifeng, Liao Lianwu, and Hou Dan, shared their experiences and perspectives. Faculty members Li Xiongjun, Liu Guoqing, and Yang Ting addressed the queries raised by the enterprise representatives in detail. The seminar concluded with an engaging exchange of ideas among all participants.
In his concluding remarks, Wen Qiao sincerely thanked the enterprises for their in-depth participation in the seminar. Reflecting on the collaborative development journey, he noted that the forms of college-enterprise cooperation have become increasingly diverse. He expressed hope for continued close communication and joint efforts to seek mutual benefits and achieve sustained win-win outcomes in the future.
