On May 21, 2025, the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering successfully hosted a seminar on Optical Engineering Research.

The seminar invited experts from universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Xidian University, Jinan University, and Southern University of Science and Technology, who provided guidance on the field of optical engineering. Attendees included Vice President of Shenzhen University, Chao Naipeng, Party Secretary of the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Lin Bing, Executive Vice Dean Liu Liwei, Vice Dean Wu Honglei, Wen Qiao, and representatives of young faculty members.

Vice President Chao Naipeng warmly welcomed the experts, briefly introduced the development of Shenzhen University, and expressed gratitude for the support of experts from sister institutions in the development of the university’s optical engineering discipline. Party Secretary Lin Bing, on behalf of the college, also extended a sincere welcome to the experts and expressed confidence in the development of the college and its disciplines. Executive Vice Dean Liu Liwei provided a detailed introduction to the college’s situation and the achievements of the optical engineering discipline’s development over the past five years. The experts affirmed the college’s accomplishments in scientific research and faculty development, and provided detailed guidance on existing issues in teaching.

During the seminar, young faculty members Liao Changrui, Zhang Han, Liu Xiaoli, and Huang Pu delivered four enriching presentations focused on their respective research areas. The discussions were lively, and the academic exchange atmosphere was strong.

The successful organization of this seminar has contributed to the development of the optical engineering discipline and further enhanced its influence.
