On the afternoon of December 29, 2025, the Youth Scientists Sub-Forum of the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering of Shenzhen University was successfully held at the Shenzhen University Yuehai Campus. This forum featured over a dozen young talents from prestigious universities including the University of Cambridge, National University of Singapore, Tsinghua University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Nanyang Technological University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Sun Yat-sen University, who presented exciting academic reports in a hybrid format combining online and offline participation. The sub-forum was chaired by Associate Dean Luo Jingting, with the attendance of Liu Liwei, the Executive Associate Dean of the College, members from the Professors’ Committee, department heads, and other faculty representatives.

In her opening remarks, Executive Associate Dean Liu Liwei warmly welcomed the young scholars from home and abroad and provided a detailed introduction to the college, covering aspects such as discipline development, national talent initiatives, faculty strength, scientific research, program offerings, and international collaborations. Associate Dean Luo Jingting also elaborated on the college’s recruitment positions, including overseas outstanding young talents, the “Hundred Talents Program,” and the tenure-track faculty system.

During the special report session, the young scholars delivered keynote speeches based on their professional research achievements, sharing and interpreting the cutting-edge academic results in their fields, and engaging in multifaceted discussions with the audience.

In her concluding remarks, Executive Associate Dean Liu Liwei expressed sincere appreciation for the participation of the young scholars from both at home and abroad, and encouraged them to join Shenzhen University to leverage their talents for the betterment of the university. The sub-forum concluded successfully in a warm atmosphere.
