On January 21, 2026, the awarding ceremony of the 2025 LienYing - Niu Hanben Scholarship of the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering was grandly held in Conference Room 1421 of Zhiyuan Building. Luo Meiling, Marketing Manager of Shenzhen LienYing Laser Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “LienYing Laser”), together with representatives of the college including Lin Bing, Secretary of the Party Committee, Professor Wen Qiao, Vice Dean, Lin Na, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Lei Lei, Director of the Department of Optical Information Engineering, Cai Houzhi, Director of the Department of Intelligent Sensing, and Zeng Xuanke, representative of head teachers, as well as all scholarship-winning students attended the ceremony.

The ceremony was presided over by Lin Na. She first introduced the distinguished guests present, extended a warm welcome to the representatives of LienYing Laser and the faculty and students of the college, offered sincere congratulations to the outstanding scholarship-winning students, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to LienYing Laser for its benevolent act of fulfilling social responsibilities and supporting young academic talents.

Wen Qiao elaborated on the evaluation criteria and process of the 2025 LienYing - Niu Hanben Scholarship, demonstrating the rigor and impartiality of the evaluation work. Subsequently, Professor Cai Houzhi solemnly read out the decision on the awarding of the scholarship.

Amid warm applause, the award-winning students took the stage one after another to receive their honors. Lin Bing and Luo Meiling jointly presented awards to postgraduate winners Gao Xinwei, Zhong Yongle and Zheng Haojia. Professor Lei Lei, Director of the Department of Optical Information Engineering, and enterprise guest Luo Meiling awarded undergraduate winners Tan Zhenyao, Li Yushi, Zhao Qianwen, Chen Zixuan, Liu Jinfeng and Huang Houlin.

In the speech session, Zhao Qianwen, a 2023 undergraduate and representative of the award-winning students, spoke first. She regarded the honor as an incentive and expressed her determination to continue studying hard and achieving all-round development. Zhong Yongle, a 2023 postgraduate student and representative of the award-winning students, who had won the LienYing - Niu Hanben Scholarship twice at both the undergraduate and postgraduate stages, sincerely thanked the college for its cultivation and the enterprise for its support, and vowed to keep forging ahead on the road of scientific research and bravely shoulder his mission. Later, Zeng Xuanke, the supervisor of the award-winning students, shared his experience in nurturing talents, expressed his praise and expectations for the students, spoke of the lofty status of Academician Niu Hanben in the hearts of optoelectronic researchers, and once again thanked LienYing Laser for its support for academic research.

Then Luo Meiling delivered a speech. She reviewed the long-term and stable cooperative relationship between the company and the college, introduced LienYing Laser’s scientific research and market layout, expounded the original intention of setting up the scholarship to cherish the memory of Academician Niu Hanben and inspire young students, extended congratulations to the award-winning students, welcomed the school's students to work at LienYing Laser, and expressed her expectation for their greater achievements in the optoelectronic field in the future.

Finally, Lin Bing made a concluding speech. He heartily thanked LienYing Laser for its consistent and strong support for the college’s education cause and congratulated the award-winning students. He encouraged the students to remember and inherit Academician Niu Hanben’s scientific spirit and noble character, cherish the honor, and transform today’s award into an inexhaustible driving force for climbing the peak of science and serving national development in the future. Secretary Lin Bing also looked forward to further deepening the cooperation between the school and the enterprise, promoting the integration of industry, university and research, and jointly writing a new chapter of coordinated development and win-win cooperation.
