At the beginning of the new semester, in order to thoroughly understand the students’ mindset and living conditions upon their return to school, respond accurately to their growth and development needs, and help them adapt to the new semester’s study and life as quickly as possible, the Party Secretary of the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Lin Bing, Executive Vice Dean Liu Liwei, Vice Dean Luo Jingtian, Wen Qiao, Wang Jipu, and Party Secretary Lin Na, along with all the counselors and part-time counselors, visited the students’ dormitories in groups to conduct the New Semester Visit and Greeting activities, sending the care and warmth of the school to the students.

In the Fenghuai Dormitory, Party Secretary Lin Bing, along with counselors Zhang Peng and Zhang Xiaoting, had a friendly conversation with the students, thoroughly understanding their adaptation to learning, daily routines, and extracurricular activities. Lin Bing focused on the integration of freshmen, listened to their concerns about academic planning and adapting to life, and encouraged them to actively adjust their mindset, help each other, and create a positive atmosphere in the dormitory. For senior students, Lin Bing inquired in detail about their progress in coursework, professional practice, and involvement in research projects, guiding them to plan their time wisely and solidify their professional foundation.

Executive Vice Dean Liu Liwei, along with counselors Li Huilin and Huang Yongzhen, focused on visiting the graduate students’ dormitories. They deeply understood the adaptation of students from different grades sharing dorms and their relationship, inquired carefully about the study and research progress of students in joint programs, and ensured their living conditions were supported. For third-year graduate students about to graduate, Liu Liwei expressed care for their thesis writing progress and the challenges they faced, as well as their employment situation. He congratulated those with clear progress and offered warm encouragement and support to those still striving.


Vice Dean Wen Qiao, along with counselors Li Kaixin, Feng Zhiyan, and Lei Shengyuan, focused on visiting undergraduate dormitories. They engaged in in-depth discussions with students about postgraduate studies and other matters, inquired about the progress of their graduation projects, and reminded them that blind review will be implemented for graduation projects this year. They emphasized the importance of maintaining close communication with their academic advisors to ensure high-quality completion of their theses. At the same time, the faculty members carefully asked about the students’ future plans, reminding them to cherish their time and to prepare well for postgraduate exams or internships, ensuring that they are fully prepared for further studies or entering the workforce.Vice Dean Wang Jipu, along with counselor Yan Yijia, inquired carefully about students’ academic progress, daily routines, and future plans during their visit. They thoroughly checked the dormitory facilities, the cleanliness of the environment, and safety conditions. The teachers patiently answered students' questions about course arrangements, postgraduate exam preparations, employment guidance, and dormitory maintenance, and emphasized that the school will continue to optimize service and support to create a more secure and comfortable environment for students’ learning and living.


Vice Dean Luo Jingting, along with counselors Xie Haowei and Yuan Aowei, focused on the Ziwai Dormitory during their visit. They paid special attention to students’ daily life, inquired about the food and other daily details, and reminded students to be cautious about electrical safety, fire hazards, property security, and personal safety. They encouraged students to communicate with the school if any issues arise. For graduate students concerned about postgraduate admission, the teachers provided detailed answers and tailored advice. Party Secretary Lin Na, along with counselor Liu Haoyu, visited the Qiaolin Dormitory and other dormitories. They inquired about whether students were facing any difficulties in their studies or daily lives and encouraged them to cherish their university time and support each other. At the same time, Lin Na inquired in detail about the employment intentions of graduating students, cared about their research progress and health, and actively promoted employment work. She also introduced the job fair recently organized by the school, encouraging students to actively participate.
This dormitory visit has brought teachers and students closer together, allowing students to truly feel the care and attention of the school. It has also helped to thoroughly understand the students’ situation upon their return to school, laying a solid foundation for the orderly development of various student affairs in the new semester.
