On March 21, a delegation led by Shao Xiaopeng, Deputy Director of the Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering at Shenzhen University. The meeting was hosted by Liu Liwei, the Executive Vice Dean of the College. Experts and scholars from both sides gathered to engage in in-depth discussions on topics such as discipline development and cooperation preparations, laying a solid foundation for future collaboration.

At the beginning of the meeting, Liu Liwei delivered a welcome speech, warmly greeting the delegation from the Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics. She introduced the development history, discipline features, faculty strength, research teams, and scientific achievements of the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, highlighting the advantages of the college and its vision for collaboration. Following this, Shao Xiaopeng gave a detailed introduction to the development overview, core research directions, research platform construction, and major scientific achievements of the Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, sharing the institute’s extensive practical experience.
During the exchange session, both sides engaged in detailed discussions about the preparations for future cooperation and reached many agreements. This meeting built a communication bridge between the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering at Shenzhen University and the Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, strengthening mutual understanding and clarifying the direction of future cooperation.
