Vice President Zhou Hui of Shenzhen University, along with academic committee members including Academician Zhuang Songlin, Professor Xin Xianjun, Professor Wang Qionghua, Professor Yao Baoli, Professor Liu Yong, Professor Yan Lianshan, Professor Cao Liangcai, Professor Xiao Yunfeng, Professor Wang Pengfei, Professor Zhang Xiuyin, and Professor Qu Junle, were present at the meeting, along with Liu Liwei, the Executive Dean of the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, and Wang Yiping, the director of the Key Laboratory and other related members.

The meeting commenced with a speech by Vice President Zhou Hui, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the experts for their ongoing support and care for the development of Shenzhen University and the Key Laboratory. He pointed out that the Key Laboratory has focused on the research of new photonic devices and sensing systems, centered around national major needs and the industrial development requirements of Shenzhen, making significant contributions to major national projects and the development of defense equipment. The university will continue to increase support for the construction of the Key Laboratory and looks forward to the academic committee experts continuing to provide guidance and suggestions for the high-quality development of the laboratory.

Subsequently, Professor Wang Yiping presented the 2025 work report to the academic committee, systematically summarizing the laboratory’s overall situation in research direction layout, talent team and platform construction, scientific research projects and outcomes, as well as future development planning, demonstrating the laboratory's continuous innovation capability in the field of IoT photonic devices and sensing systems.

During the academic report session, several teachers from the laboratory and academic committee members gave special presentations on cutting-edge topics such as micro-nano photonic devices and sensitive materials, extreme environment fiber sensing technology, and intelligent photonic sensing systems and applications.

Professor Liao Changrui delivered a presentation on cardiovascular fiber endoscopic imaging and sensing technology, sharing core innovations including femtosecond laser 3D printing technology, Bessel beam control OCT probes, and the integration of imaging and shape sensing systems. Professor He Jun presented on sapphire fiber ultra-high temperature multi-physical field distributed sensing technology, sharing key technologies such as high-quality sensor array fabrication, high-temperature and wide-range sensor packaging, as well as multi-parameter decoupling and high-precision demodulation. Professor Zhou Ye gave a talk on bipolar neuromorphic devices, sharing innovations including wide-range control of bipolar trapped conductance, near-infrared light-controlled devices, and femtosecond-level low-power high-accuracy sensing and computing systems.

The members of the academic committee fully recognized the achievements of the Key Laboratory in scientific research, platform construction, talent training, and academic exchange in recent years, and provided constructive comments and suggestions on enhancing the overall strength and influence of the optical engineering discipline. The convening of this meeting has clarified the direction for the next phase of construction and development of the Key Laboratory and holds significant importance for further enhancing the laboratory’s innovative capabilities and disciplinary influence.
