Notification of the 2023 Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering College "Shenzhen University Photonics Innovation Competition
Time of publication:2023-11-09 | Number of views:

To select reserve talents for subject competitions and enhance our college's competitiveness in high-level subject competitions, and to foster a culture of "proactivity and exploration" among lower-grade students, the Innovation Department of the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering plans to hold the "2023 Shenzhen University Photonics Innovation Competition" on December 9, 2023, targeting undergraduate students from the 2022 and 2023 cohorts.

I. Competition Format:

This competition continues to uphold the spirit of "down-to-earth and innovative," encouraging students to independently design works and innovate boldly. The competition consists of two parts: "Hardware Design and Production" and "Design Report and Work Demonstration." Winning teams will receive prizes and certificates provided by the organizers.

Competition Content:

Using a single-chip microcontroller core board combined with peripheral components, design and create a smart home system or smart agriculture system. Use sensors to collect environmental information such as temperature, humidity, and light, process digital information using a microcontroller, and respond accordingly. There are no restrictions on the selection of the microcontroller and display screen, and additional peripheral sensors can be added for expanding other functions.

Scoring Criteria:

Functionality: 50 points

Technical features: 20 points

Appearance: 20 points

PPT defense: 10 points
