1.Physics (including Excellence Program)

The Physics program boasts a strong faculty team, advanced laboratory equipment, a rich array of research projects, and a unique training system, offering students an excellent learning environment and vast opportunities for growth. The program offers core courses such as Classical Mechanics, Mathematical Methods, Quantum Mechanics, as well as specialized courses like Electronics, Computer Networks, and Artificial Intelligence, providing a solid foundation for further study and employment. Adopting an integrated model of undergraduate and graduate education, the program aims to cultivate outstanding, innovative talents with a solid professional foundation, strong creative abilities, and the potential to lead the future development of the field. The program currently has over 60 full-time faculty members, including several leading domestic and international scholars. It has a complete talent cultivation system for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees, as well as a postdoctoral research station in Physics. The program ranks in the top 5‰ globally in the ESI rankings, and is ranked 12th among domestic universities in the World University Subject Rankings published by US News in 2023.

2.Physics (Education Track)

The Physics (Education Track) program leverages the economic and social development needs of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, with a focus on Shenzhen and an international outlook. The program aims to cultivate secondary school physics educators who possess high moral standards and a strong passion for education, have a well-rounded cultural and scientific literacy, are grounded in solid physics and educational theory, and are equipped with strong teaching and research skills. The program also emphasizes a love for basic education and encourages innovative thinking. The faculty team is robust and well-structured, with a focus on both academic knowledge and teaching skills. The program also prioritizes the cultivation of strong professional ethics and a lifelong learning mindset in students. Graduates of this program have a high rate of passing teaching certification exams, with many going on to teach at secondary schools in Shenzhen. In addition, a significant number of students pursue further studies abroad or find employment in major companies in Shenzhen.
