The Youth League Committee of theCollege of Physics and Optical Engineering, Shenzhen University is an advanced youth organization jointly led by the university’s Youth League Committee and the college’s Party Committee. The Youth League Committee of theCollegeof Physics and Optical Engineering unites and leads the young people through activities such as member education and evaluation, themed Youth League days, the“Youth Marxism Vanguard Camp”, and the May Fourth excellence awards. These activities are distinctive to the Communist Youth League, contributing positively to the development and construction of the college and the university. Additionally, the college Youth League Committee leads and assists in the work of other student organizations within the college.
The Youth League Committee of theCollegeof Physics and Optical Engineering consists of four main departments: the Organization Department, the Practice Department, the Publicity Department, and the Volunteer Department. Each department carries out its duties and works in coordination with each other, regularly organizing distinctive activities such as member development meetings, company visits, anti-fraud awareness campaigns, volunteer services, and the“Challenge Cup” competition. The activities are varied and content-rich, and are well-loved by students.
Organization Department
The Organization Department is primarily responsible for managing and organizing the records of league members in each grade, transferring membership relationships, and hosting activities such as recommending outstanding individuals for membership in the Party or the Youth League, as well as organizing internal Youth League evaluations. In addition, the department guides and organizes class Youth League day activities, the college flag-raising ceremony, and company visits.
Practice Department
The Practice Department is mainly responsible for organizing social practice activities and assisting in the organization of various competitions, such as summer social practices, the“Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Project”, Li Garden Challenges, and the“Challenge Cup”.
Publicity Department
The Publicity Department is responsible for the operation of the“Youth League of College of Physics and Optical Engineering,Shenzhen University " official public account and for publishing information about activities organized by the Youth League Committee and the Student Union. It serves as an important window for showcasing the college’s youth organizations to the outside world.
Volunteer Department
The Volunteer Department is mainly responsible for planning and organizing volunteer activities and managing the daily operations of the volunteer teams. The department’s tasks include volunteer activity certification, managing the“Volunteer Shenzhen” system, recruiting volunteers, recording volunteer hours, and other related activities.

The Flag Raising Ceremony is meticulously organized by the Student Organization Department each semester. This special event aims to promote patriotism and enhance a sense of collective honor. Teachers and students gather together to witness the raising of the national flag, experiencing the strength and dignity of the country. During the ceremony, with the solemn national anthem playing, the flag rises slowly, and everyone feels a surge of love for the country and a sense of belonging to the collective. Through such activities, we not only ignite students’ patriotic feelings but also cultivate their sense of responsibility and collective consciousness, making each individual proud to be a part of this great nation.
02. Creative Hands-on“Visiting” Activity
Creative Hands-on “Visiting” Activity
The Creative Hands-on“Visiting” Activity is a project organized by the Volunteer Department of theCollege of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering. It focuses on visiting children with autism, with the aim of conveying care from university students to special children in society, while also raising awareness about special groups among students. This activity serves as a bridge connecting volunteers with children who are referred to as“children from the stars”. The activity is divided into two phases: Phase 1: Over one hundred volunteers are recruited from the whole school to create visiting gifts. With their skilled hands, volunteers transform raw materials into creative and fun toys. Phase 2: The visiting activity. Members of the Volunteer Department organize a series of creative songs, dances, and interactive games, taking the volunteers’ heartfelt wishes to visit children at rehabilitation centers. They bring joy and care from society to the children.

External Relations Department
The External Relations Department is in charge of establishing connections with other colleges and organizations, including enterprises. Through communication and negotiation, the department raises funds and resources for student union and student council activities.

The Cultural and Sports Department is responsible for organizing and planning cultural and sports activities for the college, such as welcoming parties, graduation parties, sports events, badminton tournaments, and fitness challenges.
