To implement the key directives of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on "stabilizing employment" and "promoting employment," as well as to strengthen college-enterprise collaboration and broaden student employment channels, the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering organized a visit to Hymson Laser Technology Group Co., Ltd. on the afternoon of May 30. The delegation, led by Associate Dean Wu Honglei and Professor Guo Jinchuan, was joined by 16 current students, organized by the College’s Youth League Committee.
During the meeting, Liu Xiaoxin, the head of campus recruitment at Hymson, introduced the company’s recruitment plan and talent development system. She expressed a desire to strengthen collaboration with the College and to recruit more outstanding students. Technical expert Zheng Yongming shared insights into the company’s recent achievements in technological innovation and breakthroughs in key technical indicators, showcasing their applications in various scenarios. Hymson emphasized the wide-ranging applications of laser inspection technologies and expressed interest in collaborating deeply with the College to align with national strategic needs and promote industry growth.
Wu Honglei thanked the company for its warm reception and provided an overview of the College’s development, academic positioning, faculty strength, and unique training programs. He highlighted the geographical proximity and strong industrial relevance between Shenzhen University and Hymson, expressing hopes to enhance collaboration in areas such as research and development, talent cultivation, career planning, and employment internships.
From a research perspective, Professor Guo Jinchuan responded to the company’s interests, engaging in in-depth discussions on frontier technologies. Both sides expressed confidence and enthusiasm for potential collaborations. Wu Honglei extended a warm invitation to Hymson to participate in the College’s upcoming job fair.
During the session, student representatives actively participated, posing questions about internship opportunities, workplace environments, and salary packages. The company representatives responded thoroughly, addressing students’ concerns and encouraging their interest in the industry.
The visit concluded with several agreements between the College and Hymson. Both parties committed to enhancing communication and promoting in-depth collaboration in academia, industry, and research. This partnership aims to provide students with more diverse training opportunities and broader growth prospects, contributing to the mutual development of the College and the company.
