The 7th China Undergraduate Physics Tournament (CUPT) South-Central Regional Competition was held from July 20-23, 2024, at South China University of Technology. The Shenzhen University team, led by three faculty members from the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering—Zhao Gaiqing, Guo Shuqing, and Li Yingzhen—participated in the competition with 14 students. They emerged victorious in their first competition. They was well-prepared, with each team member performing corresponding experimental data analysis and theoretical derivations for their chosen topics. Their poster presentations were meticulously designed and presented. Throughout the competition, the students became more confident and performed excellently, achieving impressive results. The competition selected three teams to participate in the national poster competition, and the Shenzhen University team, with their Magnetic Gear Group project, secured one spot in the national competition!
